Purpose

The Purpose

The human condition has many different definitions, but in my experience the human condition is the conflict which comes from our pasts dictating the future, the subconscious over ruling the conscious, the desperate need for control when control is nothing more than an illusion, that our insecurities turn into overcompensations which are how we represent ourselves, and most of all FEAR.

FEAR takes on many shapes and wears many different masks, and whether we realize it or not, our lives are largely shaped by our fears, healthy and unhealthy ones alike.

My life had been entirely controlled by FEAR, and in many ways still is. Addiction and alcoholism are a big part of my story, but I am not going to focus on those things because that story has been told over and over to the point of no impact. It’s no secret that drugs and alcohol destroy lives, so why rehash that same old cautionary tale? I am much more interested in the human condition, from which we all suffer to some degree. There are only so many feelings that humans can have, everyone of us feels them all, to some degree, and our FEAR largely determines the degree to which we feel things and how much we let those feelings impact our lives. I want to relate to the human race and not just one subsection.
